The spring semester is bringing big performances from BHS fine arts organizations.

Orchestra is hosting a pre-UIL concert at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the newly opened BHS auditorium. Band will also host a pre-UIL concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 9, in the auditorium.

“I think anyone who wants to hear great live music made by talented young people should come out,” director Gary Barnard said.

The Royals, along with the step team, choir and band, will take part in the Renaissance Showcase in honor of black history month Sunday, Feb. 26.

“It would be nice for everyone to come and support our girls’ hard work in showing a part of their history,” Royals coach Kristina Shelburne said.

Choir is also set to perform at the Braswell High School dedication ceremony on Wednesday, March 8.
