After months of waiting, “Avengers: Infinity War” finally premiered in theaters last weekend. Most audiences appreciated the film but ended up being agitated by the end.

The film had the highest box office opening of all time, making a domestic total of $258.2 million. It surpassed “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” which took first place back in 2015 with $247.9 million.

“Infinity War” is an emotional rollercoaster that you were forced onto by your best friend. With a countless amount of twists, turns, and surprises the film keeps you on the edge of your seat. However, there’s still the comedic moments to help audience members de-stress — even if it’s just for a split second.

The great thing about this film is that it brings everyone’s favorite characters together from all over the Marvel Universe. That being said, if you haven’t seen at least one of the other Marvel films, chances are you’re going to be confused. Every film since “Iron Man” in 2008 has led up to “Infinity War” and without having knowledge of those films, you’ll be lost.

The plans for “Infinity War” were hinted at when Thanos appeared in the end-end credit sequence for “Guardian of the Galaxy.” Since then most comic book fans have known what was going to happen. However, film fans weren’t prepared and are bitter.

The film ends on a cliffhanger of sorts, leaving audiences bewildered and ready for part two. Unfortunately, the next “Avengers” film won’t premiere until May 3, 2019. So start coming up with your fan theories and get your tissues out, you’re going to need them.
